Russell Evan LaMorder

Russell Evan LaMorder, 75, of Granby, Massachusetts, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026. Born on June 22, 1951, in Schenectady, NY to the late Robert E. and Helen L. (Cobb) LaMorder.

Russell retired from Health South Rehabilitation in Ludlow where he worked in the maintenance department. Prior to this, he was a shipper and forklift operator at James River Graphics in South Hadley.

A man of many passions, Russell was deeply involved with the Second Baptist Church in South Hadley, where his presence was always felt. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and found joy in music, particularly bluegrass. His talents extended beyond his professional life, as he was known for his love of repairing things and his skill as a ham radio operator.

Russell shared a loving marriage of 52 years with his wife, Robbin A. (Clark) LaMorder, who survives him. He is also survived by his son, Seth LaMorder of Granby, his daughter, Sara LaMorder of South Carolina, and his sister, Nancy LaMorder of Florida. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Penny Lee Cierpial.

In keeping with the family's wishes, all services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Russell's memory to Second Baptist Church, Operation Christmas Child fund , 589 Granby, Rd South Hadley, Ma 01075.
