Ruth B. Enders

South Hadley- Ruth B. Enders, 96, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2023, surrounded by her children. She was born in New Jersey, one of six children of the late Francis and Carolyn (Large) Barry. Ruth married her husband Evan, a career Air Force pilot, in San Antonio, Texas. They lived in many states during his service, eventually settling in Massachusetts where they raised their nine children. Ruth was a devout Catholic and member of St. Patrick's Church in South Hadley. She was a talented pianist, a phenomenal cook, and an accomplished seamstress. But it was her wonderful sense of humor that endeared her to many — and stayed with her to the very end. Ruth was predeceased by her husband, Evan R. Enders, and her daughter, Carolyn Enders-Boron. She is survived by her children, Susan Fly (Richard), Clare Murphy (Robert), Richard Enders (Sonya), Karl Enders (Donna Germain), Elaine Williamson (Edward), Paul Enders (Jill), Frank Enders (Leisa), Kurt Enders (Barbara), and son-in-law, Edward Boron. She also leaves 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. All services are being held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ruth's memory can be made to St. Patrick's Church in South Hadley.
