Anna Apostrofe

Jul 10, 2026 — Apr 22, 2026

Born in San Jose, California, on July 10, 1932, to Vincenzo and Vicenta Costa, Anna Apostrofe grew up in a close and loving family with her older brother, Frank. She passed peacefully at home on April 22, 2026, surrounded by family, friends, and caregivers.

A graduate of Monterey High School ('49), she married Alfred shortly thereafter and shared more than 50 years of marriage. In her later years, she enjoyed trips to In-N-Out for strawberry shakes and drives along the Monterey coastline.

A respected real estate businesswoman, Anna was active in the Italian Catholic Federation Branch 36, Festa Italia, and the Altar Society at San Carlos Cathedral, where she supported church fundraisers and founded the original Tarantella dance group in Monterey, which continues today.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred, her daughter, Vicki, and her brother, Frank. She is survived by her daughters Mary Ann (Mario) and Annette (Pete), her grandchildren Nicholas (Rachel), Jon, Adam, Marisa (Shae), Peter (Julia), Stephen (Karina), and Ali (Carter), and her great-grandchildren Mckenzie, Madison, Forest, Carmine, and Nico
