In Loving Memory of Fred Leo Caudle

Fred Leo Caudle, 82, passed away on May 22, 2026. Born on November 2, 1943, Fred lived a life marked by faith, service, and a deep appreciation for the people and passions that brought him joy. In his youth, Fred and his brothers loved sneaking fresh homemade tortillas and tamales from Mrs. Avila, which made his mom angry when he did not finish dinner. He also enjoyed hunting and camping at Dinky Creek. Fred had a lifelong passion for car racing which started by helping his father and brother work on cars, this morphed in a lifelong fascination with NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt, which spoke to his spirited nature and enthusiasm for life. He served honorably in the Vietnam War and later achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, reflecting throughout his life the courage, dedication, and strength that defined his character. Fred came to know the Lord at the age of twelve, and in recent years he found special joy in attending church and Wednesday night Bible study at Shoreline Church. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Ross Caudle, and Melvina (Gaines) Caudle; his brothers, Ross, and Casey Caudle; and his stepson, John Spangler-Caudle.
