Allison M. Elliott

On September 19, 2026 the world lost a kind and generous spirit with the passing of our beloved Allison.

She was born in August of 1967 in Northport, New York and spent her formative years in Middletown New Jersey.

After obtaining an engineering degree from RPI, she had a productive 30 year career with the New York State Conservation Department.

Allison was a lover of animals, especially her current feline friend Phoebe. She had many pets over the years and loved them all. As a strong supporter and active member of St. Ann's Episcopal Church she was instrumental in starting the yearly blessing of the animals at that parish.

She was an accomplished maker of handmade soaps and gifted many bars to friends over the years. She loved all kinds of "crafty" endeavors. She was fond of gardening and loved house plants of which she had a wide variety.

Although she had not participated in some years, she was formerly one of the "Gym Rats" at the former Alpin House facility and even did a couple of the Mud Runs which were a real test.

Allison was predeceased by her parents Bill and Bonnie Riedell.

She is survived by her Brother Robert Riedell and her much loved niece and nephew Paige Rivera and Dylan Riedell.

There will be no service but for those wishing to honor her memory, donations can be made to the St. Anns Church in Amsterdam, the Montgomery County ASPCA, or a charity of your choice.
