Elizabeth A. Stewart, 72, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2026, with her loving family by her side.

Born on December 11, 1953, Elizabeth was the daughter of the late Alexander and Lois Watt.

Elizabeth shared a loving and devoted marriage with her husband, Richard Stewart, for 53 wonderful years. Together they built a life centered on family, compassion, and cherished memories.

Elizabeth found her greatest joy in spending time with her family. She also had a special place in her heart for animals and devoted much of her love and care to her many beloved pets over the years.

In addition to her husband, Richard, Elizabeth is survived by her children, James Stewart (Wendy Stewart) Jody Scott (John Scott) Melissa Maye, her grandchildren, Brianna Stewart, Dylan Scott, Kyle Scott, Emily Maye, Ethan Maye, Derek Adams her great-grandchildren, Greyson Carrasquillo, Jaxon Carrasquillo, her sibling Linda Cappallo (Kevin Cappallo) and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will lovingly remember her.

Elizabeth will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, unwavering love for her family, and the compassion she showed to both people and animals. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all those whose lives she touched.

An inurnment ceremony will be held at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery for the immediate family.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Elizabeth's memory to a local animal rescue organization, reflecting her lifelong love of animals.
