It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Herman "Herm" S. Lanzi, 99, of Parrish, Florida. Herm passed away peacefully on September 11, 2026, with his loving wife, Delia, by his side.

Born in Amsterdam, New York, to the late Luigi and Amalia Marotta Lanzi, Herm graduated from Wilbur H. Lynch High School in 1944 and proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Throughout his life, Herm built a distinguished career in hospitality. He worked at the family-owned Lanzi's Restaurant in Amsterdam, served as assistant manager of the 1789 Restaurant in Georgetown, Washington, D.C., and co-founded the Alexander III Penthouse Restaurant. He later managed the Mohawk Golf Club in Niskayuna, New York, for 10 years before retiring to Florida in 1989.

An avid outdoorsman, Herm enjoyed playing golf and tennis, and took great pride in working on his home at the River Wilderness Golf and Country Club.

On August 19, 1951, he married his childhood sweetheart, Delia T. Carbonelli, with whom he recently celebrated 75 years of marriage. He is survived by his wife, Delia; brother-in-law, Bobby Carbonelli; sister-in-law, Marla Ross; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Lorenzo "Larry" Lanzi, and three sisters: Louise LoBalbo, Madeline DuChessi, and Eleanor Mancini.

Interment took place in Our Lady of Mount Carmel cemetery in Amsterdam, NY.
