Laurie A. Crawford

Mrs. Laurie A. Crawford, 61 of Amsterdam, died unexpectedly on April 16, 2026 at her residence in Amsterdam. She was a breast cancer survivor and had been in remission for over 5 years. She suffered from other ongoing health ailments.

She was born February 23, 1965 in Amsterdam, New York. Laurie was the daughter of Jeanette and the late Edward Raczes. She was a graduate of the Amsterdam High School.

Laurie first worked as a cashier then went on to work at Brenton Industries for years. Afterwards worked for Sanford Nursing Home, she had been currently working at Taylor Corporation formerly known as Amsterdam Printing & Litho for over 26 years.

She loved getting up in the mornings to feed the wild life especially the Squirrels which were her favorite. Laurie loved spending time with her only daughter Jessica, going out to dinners, shopping and going to Great Escape for the lazy river. She also went out from time to time fishing and hunting with her husband. Liked to unwind playing lottery tickets and having a beer.

Laurie is survived by her mother Jeanette Raczes, her husband Charles A. Crawford and her daughter Jessica L. Crawford all of Amsterdam.
