Tyrone Pollard
Sep 14, 1973 — Oct 14, 2026
Tyrone Pollard affectionately known as Ty, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2026, at the age of 53. Born on September 14, 1973, in Gloversville, NY, to the parents of Maurice Pollard and June Hopkins. He received his early education in Amsterdam, NY, where he attended local schools.
Tyrone turned his love for food into a career as a sous chef, but his greatest joy was being in his own kitchen, preparing unforgettable meals for the people he loved and always good at making something out of nothing. He took pride in his cooking and often shared pictures of the delicious meals he prepared on Facebook for everyone to see. Posting his food was another way he shared his passion with family, friends, and everyone who enjoyed seeing what he had created. A passionate sports enthusiast Tyrone was a die-hard San Francisco 49ers fan who loved cheering on his team. Whether he was breaking down the latest game, or calling you on the phone to give you the latest. In his leisure time, Tyrone found great joy in playing Yahtzee, a favorite pastime that brought laughter, friendly competition, and special moments shared with family and friends.
Tyrone was truly one of a kind. His big heart, charismatic personality, and wonderful sense of humor left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He had a special gift for bringing a smile to someone’s face when it was needed most, often with a kind word, a funny remark, or a story that would leave everyone laughing. His laughter was contagious, his presence was unforgettable, and his ability to bring joy to others was a gift that will never be forgotten.
Family meant the world to Tyrone, and he gave his love freely and wholeheartedly. One thing about Tyrone was that if you had the privilege of knowing him, you were loved by him. He welcomed people with an open heart and had a way of making everyone feel valued, accepted, and cared for. Those who knew and loved him will forever cherish his humor, kindness, generous spirit, and the genuine love he shared so effortlessly.
Tyrone leaves to cherish his precious memory his beloved children, Genevieve, Jacqueline, Marcye, and Trey Pollard; his loving mother, June Hopkins; his father, Maurice Pollard, and his wife, Angela Pollard; his sister, Oshanda Pollard; his stepbrother, James Freebern; and his stepsister, Charise Stewart. He also leaves behind extended family members, dear friends, and countless others whose lives were touched by his love, laughter, and unforgettable presence.
Although Tyrone’s earthly journey has come to an end, his story will continue through his children, his family, and everyone who was blessed to know him. His laughter will echo in our memories, his love will remain forever in our hearts, and his spirit will live on in the stories we tell, the meals we share, the games we watch, and the moments that remind us of him.
We love you always, Tyrone
