Betty M. Dalleo
Sep 1, 1932 — Apr 16, 2026
Mrs. Betty Mae (Rulison) Dalleo, age 93, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2026, in Gloversville, New York. Betty was born on September 1, 1932, in Gloversville, New York, to Floyd and Ethel (Ellsworth) Rulison. She lived a long and fulfilling life dedicated to her family and community.
After graduating from Johnstown High School, Betty met Michael Dalleo and fell deeply in love. They were married on November 11, 1950, and spent the next 72 years raising and supporting their large family. She believed deeply in the importance of family and made it the cornerstone of her life. Many, many backyard celebrations were held on Highland Terrace, often including not only family but friends and neighbors.
Throughout her life, Betty worked tirelessly to care for her family, embodying the values of loyalty, dependability and strength. She worked for many years at the former Baronet Litho of Johnstown and after her retirement she worked at the Moose Lodge as the Administrator’s Secretary until well into her 80’s. Later in life, Betty earned an associate’s degree in accounting as a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society from Fulton Montgomery Community College. Her education was a testament to her determination and commitment to personal growth.
A proud member of the Johnstown Loyal Order of the Moose, Women of the Moose, Betty earned her degree in the College of Regents as Senior Regent. Betty, with her husband Mike, cherished the fellowship and sense of community it provided for more than 45 years. Many suppers were prepared by Betty and Mike supporting their Lodge, frequently enlisting her children and even her grandchildren to assist.
Betty was an avid baseball fan who passionately supported the New York Yankees and could always be found cheering on her favorite team. She also enjoyed a bit of gambling and loved a day out at the Saratoga Casino or races with friends and family.
Betty was predeceased by her beloved husband, Michael H. Dalleo, her daughter Joanne Locascio and her son-in-law James Morrison. She is survived by her children: Deborah (Rick) Timmerman, Robin Morrison, Angela (Grant) Carlson, Michael (Bonnie) Dalleo, and Brenda (Edward) Leitt. Her legacy also lives on through her 12 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Betty’s memory will be treasured by all who knew her. Her vibrant personality and unwavering presence made her someone you could always count on. May her enduring love for family and zest for life bring comfort to those she leaves behind.
Services will be held at the Betz, Rossi Bellinger & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St, Gloversville, NY on Friday, April 24, 2026 with viewing time for family and friends from 10am to 11am with a service at 11am.
