Dennis J. Lafountain

Dennis John LaFountain, 70, of Gloversville, passed away March 30, 2026 at Albany Medical Center, Albany. He was born August 6, 1955 in Gloversville to the late Harvey and Betty (Gardner) LaFountain.

Dennis was a graduate of Gloversville High School and a lifelong resident. He worked many different jobs - in mills slocomb staking, in carpentry painting and taping, also as a Gloversville School District Bus Driver. He loved Golf, to play it, to watch it, and to talk about it; it didn't matter. Dennis loved to learn new things and stay informed. More than anything he loved to make you laugh.

Dennis is survived by his daughter, Kasey LaFountain and her fiancé Michael Moore of Gloversville, NY; a step grandson, Blake Moore; His Siblings Thomas LaFountain and Nancy Blowers and her husband Richard Blowers Jr. of Johnstown, NY; and many good friends.

The family has chosen to remember Dennis' life privately at this time, and there will be no formal service. The family plans to have a celebration of life in the future; details will be shared when available.

In lieu of flowers, please celebrate him the way he would have wanted-keep it simple, share a laugh, play some golf, try your luck with a lotto ticket, enjoy some Stewarts chocolate ice cream, debate a little politics, and swap a few good stories.
