Erica G. Dye

Mrs. Erica G. Dye, 98, of Gloversville, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2026, at Wells Nursing Home, Johnstown, with her loving family at her bedside.

She was born April 20, 1928, in London, England and was the daughter of the daughter of late Fred and Ada Young.

Erica married James Dye on April 9th, 1950. They immigrated to the United States in October of 1952, shortly after becoming an American Citizen.

Erica is survived by her three children, Susan (James) Maryanopolis, Terry (Sharon) Dye and Brian Dye. She is also survived by grandchildren, Jennifer, Nicholas and Sara and great grandchildren, Everett, Wyatt, Thatcher, Milani and Elias. She is also survived by her sister Jean Cole and brother David Young. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband James and brothers, Ronald and Ricky.

Private graveside funeral services were held on October 5th at the Ferndale Cemetery in Johnstown.
