Janice E. Morgan

Janice E. Morgan, 81, of Gloversville, NY, and Cape Coral, FL, passed away on September 13, 2026, at her home in Gloversville, surrounded by family.

She was born on September 11, 1945, and was a lifelong resident of Gloversville. The daughter of Frank J. and Evelyn T. Smith.

Janice graduated from Gloversville High School and worked for more than 30 years at the Hathaway Insurance Agency in the commercial business line. Janice was on the board of directors of the YMCA and gave her time to many charitable causes.

On May 23, 1964, Janice was married to George A. Morgan, and they enjoyed 58 years together.

Janice was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family. Her love for children was one of the most beautiful parts of who she was. She loved her own children deeply and also had an incredible love for all children who were fortunate enough to cross her path. Her motherly instinct was truly unbeatable. Janice enjoyed playing golf and traveling with her husband to Europe and throughout the United States.

Janice is survived by three of her children: Christopher Morgan (Randi May), Stephanie Roy (Derek), and Kathryn Graf (Mark). She is also survived by grandchildren Michael Koehler, Logan Nowak, Colin Graf and Morgan Roy, and her sister Nancy Rupert.

Janice was predeceased by her husband, daughter Susan Morgan Papini, and parents.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 11am at Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Homes, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville, NY with the Rev. Dr. R.W. Williams as celebrant. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday at the funeral home from 10am to 11am. Burial will follow services at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Mount Valley Hospice, Gloversville or to the Alzheimer Associations.
