Judith R. Feldman

October 20, 1938 — May 21, 2026

Mrs. Judith R. Feldman, 87, passed away May 21, 2026 at Siegenthaler Center, New Hartford, with her whole family at her side. She was born October 20, 1938 in Gloversville, the daughter of the late William and Agnes Rese. On May 21, 1960 she married Milton A. Feldman, and she left to join him on what would have been their 66th anniversary.

Judith grew up in Gloversville and graduated from Gloversville High School. Her very first job, one that held very special memories, was working at the candy counter at the local Gloversville theater. She later brought her vibrant energy to Sherwood Motors, where she thoroughly enjoyed the unique perk of driving all different kinds of vehicles. Judith then transitioned into the insurance industry, working for several years at the Gablers Insurance Agency before joining the Hathaway Agency, where she dedicated herself until her well-earned retirement. Never one to truly stop serving, Judith spent her retirement years working for the Fulton County Board of Elections.

Beyond her professional life, Judith was deeply invested in giving back. Her leadership and volunteerism shaped the lives of countless neighbors. She was a passionate 4-H leader for 25 years, mentoring local youth and fostering community spirit. In 1986, she joined the Fulton County Cooperative Extension Board, contributing her leadership for many years, and she was a dedicated member of the Insurance Women of Fulton County since 1976.

While her community achievements were vast, Judith will be equally remembered for her love of life’s simple pleasures and her cherished friendships. She was an avid card player who never turned down a game, and she spent many peaceful hours playing Solitaire. For years, her Friday mornings were anchored by her beloved coffee group, a tradition filled with laughter and catching up.

Judith loved nothing more than shopping and going out for lunch with her friends. To Judith, an outing was never truly complete without good food and an excellent dessert—she famously always, always had room for a cookie. She also held many fond memories of traveling across the country with her friends, with her trips to the coast of Maine holding a particularly special place in her heart.

Judith is survived by her children Milton Anthony "Tony" Feldman III and Nicole (Darrell) Salm; grandchildren Brittany (Alexander) Perry and Christopher (Danielle) Salm; sister-in-law Karen Manuel; dear friend Mary Chase; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Milton A. Feldman in 2011, and her sister Ann Barbuti.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 4:00PM to 6:00PM, May 27, 2026 at Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Home 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville. A mass of Christian burial will take place on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at 10:00AM at Church of the Holy Spirit, 153 S. Main Street, Gloversville with Father Matthew Wetsel officiating. Interment will take place in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown.
