Judy Ann Carter
February 1, 1947 — May 19, 2026
Judy Carter, 79, of Mayfield, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on February 1, 1947, in Waverly, NY to the late Robert and Pauline Wintermute. Judy lived a life centered on family, kindness, and devotion to those she loved most. She was a dedicated and hardworking woman who retired from Finkle Distributors after many years of service as an office manager, where she was respected for her strong work ethic and caring nature.
Judy found great joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved spending time with her family, reading, crocheting, sewing, and camping. Her warm heart, gentle spirit, and quiet strength touched everyone who knew her. She created a home filled with love, laughter, and treasured memories that will live on for generations.
She is survived by her beloved husband of over 60 years, Robert Carter Sr.; her son, Robert Carter Jr. (Sue); her daughter, Patti Parker (Hal); her cherished grandchildren, Joshua Carter (Kerrie), Justin Carter (Anna), Jordan Carter, and Ciara Parker; and her adored great-grandchildren, Logan Carter, Eleanor Carter, Juliana Carter, and Cash Carter. She is also survived by her sisters, Dale Wintermute (Wayne), Pauline Krawczyk (Paul), Marlene Porter (Reggie), and Bobbi Ricciardi (Alex); her sisters-in-law, Joanne Brooks (Bob)and Sue Carter; her brothers-in-law, Ronald Carter and Corey Barber; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
In addition to her parents, Judy was predeceased by her father-in-law, Harry Carter Sr. her mother-in-law, Mildred Carter; her brothers-in-law, Harry Carter Jr. and Gerald Hudson; her sisters-in-law, Marion Barber and Linda Hudson; and her brother, Howard Wintermute.
Judy’s love, compassion, and unwavering dedication to her family will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service celebrating Judy’s life on June 20, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Mayfield Central Presbyterian Church.
