Nancy I. Rodenmacher
Feb 9, 1940 — Jun 17, 2026
Nancy I. Rodenmacher, 86, of Mayfield, passed away peacefully with her Daughter Deborah A. Crandall and friend Sterling Emerson by her side on June 17, 2026. She was born February 9, 1940 in Schenectady, the daughter of Arthur and Dora Hotaling. Nancy married her late husband Thompson J. Rodenmacher Jr. on July 14, 1962.
Nancy graduated from Draper High School class of 1958. She retired from the Department of Motor Vehicles. After retirement she moved to the lake where she loved to be with her late husband Thomas.
She was a volunteer for Nathan Littauer Auxiliary for many years after retirement. Nancy was also an honorable member of the Sacandaga Boat Club. Nancy joined the Schenectady Chapter of NSDAR in 1962 and was a devoted member for 64 years.
Nancy was a fashionista who loved shopping, traveling, girls' night out with her friends, reading, camping, boating, fishing, 4 wheeling, and probably her most favorite snowmobiling. She loved to cook and bake for family friends and even events. She was also very crafty, from making Halloween costumes for her grandchildren, home decor, crocheting blankets, and much more.
Nancy is survived by her Daughter Deborah A. Crandall, and her Granddaughters Amanda L. Crandall and Megan E. Crandall.
She was predeceased by Husband Thomas J. Rodenmacher Jr. and Parents Arthur and Dora Hotaling.
