In addition to her parents, Ruth was predeceased by her beloved husband, Stephen E. Bleyl; her sons, Thomas Bleyl Sr., John Bleyl Sr., and Edward Bleyl; her daughter, Shirley Alfini; her brother, LeRoy Pollock Jr., her sisters, Beatrice Dingman LaPlant and Ethel Pollock; and her grandson, Peter Bleyl.

On Monday, August 3rd, family and friends are invited to pay their respects during calling hours from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville, New York 12078. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bleecker Community Church, c/o Eleanor Brooks, 184 Highway 125, Gloversville, NY 12078.

The family extends its heartfelt appreciation to the physicians, nurses, and staff of Nathan Littauer Hospital for the compassionate care they provided to Ruth.

Ruth’s greatest legacy was not measured by the many organizations she served or the positions she held, but by the love she gave so freely to her family, friends, and neighbors. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
