Zachary J. Morrison

Nov 5, 1992 — Sep 4, 2026

Zachary J. Morrison, 33, of Amsterdam, passed away September 4, 2026 at Albany Medical Center surrounded by both sides of his loving family. He was born November 5, 1992 in Gloversville, the son of Brian L. Morrison, Sr. and Rebecca (Campana) Morrison Carter.

From the time he was a young boy, Zach held a lifelong passion for raising beagles. He was a proud and active member of the Adirondack Beagle Club, and some of his happiest moments were spent outdoors hunting alongside his brother, Brian, and his uncle, Doug Morrison. He also enjoyed spending time with his future mother and father-in-law John and Faith MacLean building things and gardening together.

Born with a natural gift of gab, Zach could talk to anyone about anything. Whether he was striking up a conversation with a lifelong friend or a complete stranger, his warmth and ability to connect left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He was truly a friend to many. A "go-to guy" in every sense of the word, Zach was known as someone who could fix anything. His practical skills were matched only by his generous spirit and his willingness to lend a helping hand.

Above all else, Zach cherished his family and friends. He was a loving fiancé, and the absolute light of his life was his two-year-old son, whom he adored beyond measure.

Zachary is survived by his mother, Rebecca Carter (stepfather James Carter), his beloved Fiancée, Jessica MacLean; cherished son Jakob Morrison; brothers Brian L. Morrison, Jr. (Katie Morrison) and Patrick J. Morrison; nieces Adaline, Gabriella and Paisley Morrison; stepbrother Erik Carter (Katie Guisti) and their children Sophia, Brantley, and Madison; stepsister Brianna Gardner and her son Keaton; maternal grandparents Joseph and Mary Campana; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends he made along his journey.

He was predeceased by his father, Brian L. Morrison, Sr., and his paternal grandparents James and Thelma Morrison

The family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00AM to 12:00PM, Saturday, September 12, 2026 at Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Home 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
