Frank Joseph Klemenchuk

Frank J. Klemenchuk, 89, passed away on September 4, 2026. Born August 4, 1937, Frank came to the United States from Canada in the 1960s for mining work and later became a permanent resident. He worked for many years as a geologist before beginning a second career at the University of Colorado Boulder in Environmental Services, retiring in 2020 due to COVID.

Frank enjoyed his later years with friends at the Carbon Valley Active Adults in Firestone and visits from his granddaughters and their families in Missouri.

He is survived by granddaughters Michelle Williams (Shane) and Andrea Owens (Michael); great‑grandchildren Sammi, Crissi, Josh, and Emalee; great‑great‑grandchildren Jojo, Ari, Cooper, Cambri, and Evvie; sister‑in‑law Fern Klemenchuk; nephews Robert and Frank; niece Laura; and their families.

He is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Josephine, his brother Tony, and his daughter Emma.

Frank was known for his warm smile, kind heart, and unforgettable stories. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
