Jeffrey John Wingert

Feb 7, 1964 — Jun 28, 2026

With heavy hearts full of love and cherished memories, Jeff Wingert’s family sadly announces his passing on June 28, 2026, at the age of 62, surrounded by his family at home, after a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer.

Born on February 7, 1964 in Vernal, Utah to proud parents John and Patricia Wingert, his family relocated to what is now Centennial, CO in 1965 and established their roots. Jeff graduated from Cherry Creek High School in 1982, and then attended University of Colorado in Boulder, graduating in 1987 with his Bachelor of Environmental Design. He worked in CU’s Facilities Management department while studying for his Master of Business Administration, which he earned from the university in 1991.

Jeff started and ended his 35 year career at the W.W. Reynolds Companies in Boulder, where he passionately oversaw the company’s property management, leasing, finance, construction, and development operations. He was also active with the Boulder Chamber, Boulder Tomorrow, Boulder Economic Council, Urban Land Institute, NAIOP, and Community Food Share.

Jeff married his wife of 33+ years in 1992, and they proudly raised two incredible children in Superior, CO. He would say his children are his greatest accomplishment. He loved coaching them in their various sports throughout childhood, and then he never missed a game as their dad and biggest fan when he was no longer coaching. His life was a very blessed one, despite being cut short, full of great love and quality time with his family, many incredible lifelong friendships, and a career he enjoyed.

He bled black and gold for his alma mater, the Colorado Buffaloes. When not rooting for the Buffs, Jeff had a lifelong passion for snow skiing in the Colorado mountains. In warmer months, his hobbies included fishing, hiking, yardwork (!), and golfing. Weekends spent year-round with family and friends in the mountains were always treasured.

Jeff will forever be remembered for his genuine heart of gold, his warm smile, and his loving hugs. He is survived by his wife Emily, children Gabe and Sophia, mom Patricia (and preceded in death by dad John), siblings Natalie (Steve) and Greg, as well as dear parents-in-law, siblings-in-law, nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He is so loved and deeply missed by all.

A Celebration of Life will be held in August (details to be determined and announced by the family). In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial donation in Jeffrey Wingert’s name to:
