Joseph Thomas Jeffries 1946-2026
- Joseph Thomas Jeffries, 80, of Loveland, Colorado, went to Heaven on September 23rd, 2026.
- He was born in Lake County, Indiana, in 1946 to Ollie Flenoy Jeffries and Virginia Mae (Cary). As a teenager,he briefly trained and served in the Cavalry with Culver Military Academy, later graduating from Hammond High School in 1964. He graduated from CU in Boulder, Colorado, with a bachelor’s degree in Architecture. He obtained a job with Mountain Bell, and finished his career years by working for Storage Tech, Sun Microsystem, and Oracle.
- His move from Hammond, Indiana, to Boulder, Colorado, led to him meeting the love of his life,Dianne Beverly (Ross). They were joyfully married at St. Malo Chapel in March, 1971. Together, they built and raised a family in the beautiful foothills of Boulder, Colorado. His faithfulness at designing and skillfully constructing their lovely house reflected his devotion to providing for and protecting his family.
- In 1981, he made the most important decision of his life, as he accepted Jesus as His Lord and Savior, his Everlasting Abba Father. He was very active in his home church, City on the Hill Ministries. He put his architecture skills to work, serving the church by helping renovate their purchased building. He enjoyed serving at the church pig roasts and other functions, often by bringing an extra dose of humor.
- He was an active member of the Boulder Jaycee’s for many years and enjoyed volunteering in their annual Christmas Tree Lot, including dressing up as Santa at times.
- In 1999, he and his family moved to Loveland, Colorado, where he lived out his days in the Carter Lak area. In Loveland, he served as an usher for many years at Message of Life Ministries.
- Joseph had a child-like focus on the return of his King, Jesus. He was constantly eager for Christ’s return, and his heart’s cry was that the vast majority of people would learn of God’s grace and love so that they, too, could enter into eternity with the One True God. (Rom. 10:9 & Rom.6:23)
- As he graduated to Heaven he was reunited with his sister, Mary Blom, his brother-in-law, Harlan Page Ross IV, his grandchild, Cameron Jeffries, and his great-grandchild RuthAnn. The legacy he leaves behind is his wife, Dianne Beverly (Ross), his children: Jeanne (Don) McGhee, Jennifer (Jeff) Sirbu, and Joshua (Michelle) Jeffries, his grandchildren: Anne-Marie McGhee, Keturah (Dennis) McGonigal, Nathanael (Lydia) McGhee, Nicholas Jeffries, Lillyanna Sirbu, & Johnathan Sirbu and his great-grandchildren: Abraham McGonigal, Malachi McGonigal, Ezekiel McGonigal, & Elias McGonigal.
