Cameron Whitt, a beloved son, grandson, and friend, passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 2, 2026, at the tender age of 23. Born on December 19, 2002, in Carmichael, California, Cameron's life, though brief, was filled with laughter, adventure, and an abundance of love.
Cameron was the treasured son of Kevin and Corie Whitt, who cherished every moment they spent with their vibrant and kind-hearted boy. His early years were marked by a close-knit family life, enriched by the love of his grandmothers, Cynthia Evans and Janis Hightower, as well as his granddad, John Hightower. Though he is preceded in death by his grandfathers, David Evans and Herschel Whitt, their spirits have undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms.
Cameron was a proud graduate of Woodcreek High School, class of 2021, where he was known for his infectious smile and gentle nature. His academic journey continued at Sacramento State University, where he was preparing to embark on his final year. Cameron's inquisitive mind and passion for learning were evident in his life’s pursuits.
An avid reader, Cameron found solace and adventure in the pages of his favorite books. His love for storytelling extended to the digital realm, where he spent countless hours online gaming with friends, forming bonds and creating memories that spanned both time and distance. Cameron's dogs were his constant companions, and their loyalty and love brought him immense joy.
Cameron had a wanderlust spirit, often hiking through nature's trails or exploring new places. He was fortunate to travel extensively across the United States and other countries with the Gholson family, experiences that broadened his horizons and enriched his soul.
