Consuelo Joan Burt

Consuelo (Chelo) Burt was born May 8, 1931, to Salvador and Atanasia Vasquez in Sacramento, California. Consuelo passed away on May 10, 2026. Consuelo is lovingly survived by her brother, Sal (Chado) Vasquez and was proceeded in death by her son, Edward Burt, siblings Rosina Vasquez, Lupe Capogreco, Macaria Olvera Ayala, and James Vasquez. She takes to Heaven the hearts and love of her devoted son, Michael Burt and granddaughter, Courtney Burt, along with all who touched her life. She had many loving nieces and nephews, a loving family, and many longtime friends. She grew up in Sacramento across from Roosevelt Park where she loved to spend her day, playing sports and enjoying all park activities. She was a highly competitive and focused athlete, especially excelling in golf. She was a member at Bing Maloney, Haggin Oaks and Land Park golf courses. She was a devoted mother and grandma to not only her children and granddaughter, but to all that needed her love and support. Consuelo touched countless lives and will be sincerely missed.
