Arline J. Greiner

1926 — 2026

Arline J. Greiner, age 99, passed away May 16, 2026. She is survived by her daughter Joanne and son Steve (Marty), granddaughters Alicia (Paulo) and Amanda, grandsons Matthew (Leanna) and Keith (Alexis), great-grandchildren Jaiden, Gabriela, Camila, Hailey and Daniela. Numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces, great-grandnephews and friends also survive her.

Arline was preceded in death by her husband Fred, sons Fred Jr. and Richard, her daughter-in-law Phyllis and son-in-law Trevor, siblings Thomas, Anne and Joseph and their respective spouses Helene, Edward and Sue.

Arline was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York where she met and married the love of her life, Fred. They married when he returned home from WWII and were married for 62 years until his death. They moved to Hicksville, New York and raised their four children. Arline was a pioneer of the credit card industry. She moved up the ranks of Citicorp and retired as an Assistant Vice President. Arline and Fred moved to Palm Harbor, Florida in 1988 where they regularly hosted family and friends at “Club Fred”. Arline enjoyed playing golf, mahjong, and cards. In 2015, Arline moved to Arizona to be near her daughter and grandchildren and great granddaughter.


Arline had a wonderful life, experiencing many joyous events and lived into her 100th year. Arline played mahjong with her daughter and friends right up to her last days. She was happiest when she was with her family, especially her grand and great-grandchildren.

She will be deeply missed. 

Services will be held at St. Charles Resurrection Cemeteries, Farmingdale, NY, Wednesday August 12, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
