Brian Gallagher
Apr 22, 1943 — Sep 9, 2026
Brian Gallagher passed away peacefully on September 9, 2026, at the age of 83. Brian was born on April 22, 1943, in Queens, New York. In 1965, he made his way to Tucson, Arizona, where he would build his life, raise his family, and call home for the rest of his life.
Brian proudly served in the United States Air Force for 30 years, retiring as a Chief Master Sargent. After his military retirement, he continued his career of service and dedication with the Tucson Airport, where he worked escorting civilian contractors.
But before anything else, Brian was a family man. His greatest pride was the family he built and the people he loved. He is survived by his beloved wife, Alicia Gallagher; his children, Joanne (Mike) and Bernadette (Robert); his grandchildren, Michael, Breanna, and Alicia; and his great-grandchild, Kaialyna. He is also survived by his brothers, John and Joe, and his sisters, Elizabeth, Patsy, Bernadette, and Joan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Anne Gallagher; his brothers, Frank, Thomas, Danny, Eddie, and James; and his sister, Marylou.
Brian was a devoted Dodgers fan and rarely missed a game. Some of his fondest moments were spent watching the Dodgers alongside his brother James. He also took great pride in caring for his front yard, especially his beloved orange tree. And, perhaps most famously, Brian loved a trip to the grocery store. He could often be found buying things in bulk—not simply for himself, but to make sure that whenever his family stopped by, their favorite snacks and foods were always waiting for them. It was one of the many quiet ways Brian showed his love.
Brian will be remembered for his humor, kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to his family. He had a way of making the people around him feel cared for, often through the simplest of gestures. His life was defined by service, but his greatest legacy will always be the love he gave to his family.
Brian leaves behind a lifetime of memories, countless stories, and a family who will carry his love with them always. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
