Carol Rose

Carol Rose passed away on September 3, 2026, in Tucson, Arizona, at the age of 91.

She was born on July 20, 1935, in Hudson, New York, and moved as a teenager to Sacramento, California, where she graduated from Sacramento High School. She married Bill Rose in 1953, beginning a marriage of 73 years. They raised their family in Sacramento before settling in Tucson in 1992.

Carol spent 27 years at Pacific Telephone & Telegraph/Pacific Bell, beginning as an operator of long-distance service and rising to Manager of Lottery Services at a time when few women held that title. Outside of work she loved reading and travel, but her family was the center of everything. She was kind, watchful over the people she loved, and quick to support friends in need.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick Nietsche in 1974 and Hazel Clarke 1995.

Carol is survived by her husband, Bill Rose; her son, Rob Rose, and daughter-in-law, Dana Rose; her daughter, Kathy Rose Nattress, and son-in-law, Dennis Nattress; her grandchildren, Arden Rose Henry (Sam Henry), Hadley Rose, Brian Nattress (Leanne Nattress), and Lindsay Seeger (Jordon Seeger); and her great-grandchildren, Braden Nattress, Andrew Nattress, Zuri Seeger, and Ellie Seeger.

A private family service will be held.
