Dennis L. Helton

Dennis Lee Helton, age 73, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away unexpectedly. He was born on January 10, 1953, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late Denver and Mary Helton.

Dennis was a talented athlete at Indianapolis George Washington High School, where he placed third in the state of Indiana for wrestling in 1972. Later that year, he entered active military service, proudly serving in both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Marine Corps. Following his military service, he worked as a commercial semi-truck driver until his retirement.

He is survived by his four children: Brandi Hybiak, Ashley Dersch, Emily Helton, and Taylor Helton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Denver and Mary Helton; his brothers, Jimmie, Rickie, Kenneth, and David Helton; and his grandson, Tyler S. Hybiak.

A private family service with military honors will be held at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Greenwood, Indiana
