June Susan Blackman Dashiell

June Susan Blackman Dashiell, 79, of Tucson, AZ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 25th, 2026, after a long illness. Born and raised in Goldsboro, NC, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Blackman and Barbara Maney Blackman.

June devoted her life to education, teaching at Collier and Lyons Elementary in the Tucson Unified School District. She graduated with a Master of Library Science from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and also attended East Carolina, UNC - Pembroke, UNC - Chapel Hill, and Peace College. She enjoyed the beach in South Carolina, Tar Heel Basketball, Football, her children and grandchildren, and her cats Jack and Jill.

June is survived by her two sons, Austin Dashiell (Michele) of Tucson, AZ, James Dashiell (Chrissy) of Corvallis Oregon, and four grandchildren, Jonathan Dashiell and Lauren Dashiell of Tucson, and Ella Dashiell and William Dashiell of Corvallis, Oregon.

June will be missed by all who knew her.
