Kelly Marie Kramer
Apr 21, 1969 — Mar 31, 2023
Kelly Marie Kramer, 53, of Tucson, AZ, passed away on March 31, 2023, from complications due to injuries sustained in a car accident. Her loving parents were at her side. She was born April 21, 1969, in Aurora, IL on one of the happiest days of her parents’ lives. The eldest of 3 siblings, Kelly was always the trailblazer for her sister and brother. She loved forming relationships with others from an early age and was active on her school tennis team, student council, and youth group, among a multitude of other activities. The friends Kelly made were life-long. Kelly always had a tender heart full of love for others which led her to pursue a career in counseling. She was passionate about being present for the students at the middle school where she worked and making sure they felt safe and heard. Kelly was a tireless advocate for LGBTQIA rights. She had a big, fun-loving personality. She was fearless and always up to try new things. Her hobbies included swimming, drumming, disc golf, pickle ball, and live music. She was the sentimental one in our family and loved cards and flowers. Her clothes are being donated to a women’s shelter to honor her selfless spirit. Kelly, we will miss you every day and we will never be the same without you. Kelly is survived by her parents, Don and Nikki Kramer; her children, Hayden and Care Fixmer; her siblings, Jamie (Larry) VanMersbergen and Aaron (Tiffany) Kramer; and countless aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Rest easy, Kelly. You are out of pain now and full of lightness and grace. You are truly a free spirit, Kelly. Let your spirit fly. —-Donations in Kelly’s name may be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention at https://afsp.org/ to continue her life’s work. A memorial service will be planned for a later date.
