Kent R Brenner
Aug 27, 1958 — Sep 28, 2025
Kent R. Brenner, 67, of Tucson, AZ, formerly Birmingham, AL is now at rest after a relentless battle with Parkison’s disease.
Kent was born in Detroit, MI and shortly after moved to the upper Main Line area in the suburbs of Philadelphia. At a young age he found himself painting and drawing and was encouraged by his parents to explore and grow his talent. Just a few short weeks prior to his passing he donated his recent artwork to a local Tucson art museum.
After graduating from Conestoga High School in Berwyn, PA, he married and also began a successful career history. He worked for Jamesway in Phoenixville, PA for Loss Prevention and Gimbels department store in Philadelphia. He quickly discovered his forte was detecting and apprehending shoplifters. He later relocated to Florida where he continued to exceed his goals and received many promotions while employed by Burdines and eventually became the OVP Director of Loss Prevention for the Just For Feet corporation in Birmingham, AL.
After its closure, he sat for his real estate license where he joined Realty South. Later, he obtained his brokers license and was a qualifying broker for many offices. When the progression of his Parkinson’s forced him into ending his career early, he moved to Tucson, AZ in 2022 to enjoy time with his mother.
He enjoyed the outdoors, especially living the lake life on Lake Martin, warm weather, the beach and being well known for pranking anyone he saw fit. It brought him much joy to see a smile on their faces, and he made us all laugh at his constant antics.
He is predeceased by his father, Robert S. Brenner and his favorite dog, Mary. He is survived by his mother, Roberta (Profant) Brenner, his daughter, Angela and his 3 grandchildren, Olivia, Nathan and Jaydyn all of PA.
At his request, there will be no service. If you wish to make a donation on Kent’s behalf please consider The Shelby County Humane Society in Columbiana, AL where Kent served on the Board of Directors many years ago. He wanted it to be known he is forever grateful for the love and support from many dear and special friends he has made throughout his lifetime.
