Ron Kellison

Ron (Ronnie Ray) Kellison was born in Iowa to Winnifred (Travis) and Norman Kellison on 11/27/1944. He was a lifelong meat cutter since the age of 14 and leased many meat markets in grocery stores in Iowa and then owned Ron’s Clover Farm in Milford, Iowa. Ron moved his family to Tucson, Arizona, in August of 1981. He worked for ABCO as a meat cutter and then became a meat manager for Fry’s in 1984 until he retired. Ron was very active in the Methodist church, had an incredible knack with people, customers and friends. Ron was always there to support or help his family, friends and neighbors.  He was an avid gardener and shared his crops with many.  

Ron was also an avid golfer, loved college sports and was a season ticket holder at the U of A.

 

Ron is survived by his wife of 33 years, Ann Kellison, his daughter Deb Kellison, son Michael Kellison, brother Roger Kellison, aunt Jackie Travis, brother in law Jim Frohberg, Bill Frohberg and sister in law Marilyn Olson. Ron had 2 grandchildren through his daughter Deb Kellison: Jennifer Watson, Robert Fruin and 1 grandchild from son Michael Kellison: Courtland Kellison. Ron had 6 great grandchildren: Makenzie and David Matus (Jennifer Watson), Xander, Hayze, Uriah and Kiara Fruin (Robert Fruin).

He was loved by many and missed by all. Since his passing, people in the neighborhood have stopped by to express their condolences and how wonderful a man and neighbor he was.
