Ronald Eugene Bacon

Ronald Eugene Bacon, age 87, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2026, in Tucson, Arizona.

Ron was born on February 3, 1939, in Baltimore, Maryland. He proudly served his country in the Navy before beginning a lifetime of hard work and service. He was proud to be a veteran. He later retired from the United States Postal Service after many years of dedicated employment.

A gifted mechanic, Ron had a remarkable talent for restoring automobiles. Over the years, he personally owned, repaired, and sold hundreds of cars, turning his passion into a lifelong pursuit.

Ron loved watching car racing and baseball. Those who knew him admired his strong work ethic, mechanical skill, and willingness to lend a helping hand.

One of the defining moments of Ron’s life came when a preacher's car broke down and Ron repaired it. That encounter marked the beginning of his deep Christian faith. From that day forward, he remained faithful to the Church, living out his beliefs with quiet conviction,and raising his children to share the same enduring faith.

Ron is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 66 years, Mary; his daughter, Linda, her husband Steve, of Tucson; and his son, Steve, his wife, Jessica, andgranddaughter Elizabeth, of South Carolina, his granddaughter Sophia and great grandsons Holden, Kaiden, Malakai, and Luke of Bowling Green, Kentucky will miss him greatly. Ron’s legacy lives on through the love he shared with his family, the lives he touched through his faith, and the example of integrity and perseverance he set for all who knew him.

A memorial service celebrating Ron’s life will be heldon Sunday, July 12, 2026, at 11:30 a.m., at East View Church of Christ. Lunch and a time for fellowship will immediately follow the service.

Ron will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his steadfast faith, his love for his family, and a life well lived in service to God and others.
