Aida Jane Williams
May 26, 1922 — Dec 22, 2020
Aida "Jane" Williams, 98, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2020. Jane was born on May 26, 1922, in North Hollywood, CA, where her parents worked in the film industry. She attended Tracy High School for a time, then graduated from Fremont High School in January of 1940. Her family relocated to Blairsden, CA, where she became a cosmetician. She met and married the love of her life, Cy Williams, in 1943.
Jane was a dedicated military wife and mother of two sons and a daughter. Air Force life found them living in a variety of locations, including the Panama Canal Zone, Canada, Alabama, Colorado, California, Alaska, Virginia, and Key West, FL. When Cy retired in 1972, they relocated to Chico, CA. They loved living in Chico, and were active in the Chico Squares square dance club. They also loved traveling in their RV. Jane and Cy were happily married for 72 years until he passed in 2015.
Jane was the sweetest, most loving, caring and generous person you could ever meet. You never left her house without something; she was always trying to give to others. She loved gardening, tending to her home, reading, knitting, watching NASCAR, dancing, her dogs, and spending time with her husband and family. She adored her grandchildren. Her warmth, kindness and loving generosity has left a hole in all of our hearts.
Our beloved Jane was preceded in death by her parents, brother, and husband.
Jane is survived by her two sons, Courtney (Deborah) and Gary (Cheryl) Williams,
her daughter, Janice Williams, two granddaughters, Jayme Schlager (Rick) and
Sara Warner, one grandson, Cory Williams, and one great-granddaughter, Hailey Schlager.
Services will be held at a later date when family and friends can gather.
