Antonio Rangel

May 10, 1927 — Jun 7, 2020

Antonio "Tony" Rangel was born on May 10, 1927 to Juan and Jovita Rangel. He passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, June 7, 2020 in his home in Chico, CA. Tony is survived by his wife of 65 years, Patricia (Pat) Rangel. He is also survived by his sisters, Helen Marshall of Corning and Irene McLean of Red Bluff, his 4 children, Steve Green of Woodland, Theresa St. John of Magalia, Juanita Harrington of Redding, and Rebecca Trolinder of Chico, 9 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. Tony served in the US Navy for 7 years, during both World War II and the Korean Conflict. Upon his return home, he worked for Diamond National, a local lumber company, as a rip saw operator. When he wasn't working, it was well known by friends and family that Tony could be counted on for a haircut in the barber chair he kept on his back patio. Tony and his wife Pat have been long time residents of Chico. Tony's humor, love for his family, and neighborhood haircuts will be greatly missed.
