Betty Gallagher
d. Jan 1, 2001
Betty Louise Gallagher was born in Seattle on March 22, 1918.
During her long life she worked on the B-17 during World War II and later served as a public health nurse. She was a cellist, soprano soloist, graduate of the University of Washington School of Nursing, and life-long Husky fan. She loved to read, do needlework and never met an animal she didn't love. She moved to Chico in 2000 to live with her twin sister. She died here after a brief illness on November 10, 2008.
She is preceded in death by Simon Rudel and Dennis Gallagher. She is survived by her twin sister, Ruth Carpenter (Chico); her brother, Arlyn Carr (San Diego); daughters, Laurie Rudel (Seattle) and Patty Putnam (Evergreen, CO); step-son, Gary Gallagher (Seattle); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
