CATHERINE E. KAY CATHY ULLMAN
Born 3-26-1931 to passed 10-31-2017
It is with great sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of the most wonderful mother in OUR world on Oct. 31, 2017 in Oroville, CA., at Country Crest Post Acute Alzheimer/Dementia Care Home. We must commend this lovely home for 9 years and 7 days of devotion to Mom. No one has ever been so kind, patient and loving in her final days, except her sons. Catherine E. "Kay" "Cathy" Ullman was born in Pittsburgh, PA. She was always a perfect daughter, sister, wife, mom, cousin, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, mother-in-law, friend and servant of God. We treasure the "light of our lives" by honoring Mom in an affectionate send-off to her heavenly father at an interment, Wed. Nov. 8, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Glen Oaks Memorial Park, 11115 Midway, Chico, CA. Please remember her fondly during this moment. Catherine "Kay" "Cathy" Ullman is survived by her three sons: Ronald (Ron) Ullman, of Oroville, CA.; David Ullman, of Paradise, CA.; and James (Jimmy) Ullman, of Oroville, CA.; daughter-in-law Susie Burleson Ullman of Paradise, CA.; beloved adopted daughter Patricia Gilbert of Oroville, CA.; brother and wife Ed and Kay Reed of Evansville, IN.; granddaughter Angela Ullman of Oroville, CA.; step-grandson David McDemus of Gridley, CA.; three great-grandchildren: Nolin UlIman, Saylor Sartain and Ronnie Sartain of Oroville, CA.; three step-great-grand-children: William (Will) McDemus of Gridley, CA.; Chloe and Emma McDemus of Kelso, WA.; nephews and nieces: Jack and Ginger Nagle of Pittsburgh, PA.; Toni and Patti Belch of Lakeland, FL.; Darlene Mead of Pleasant Hills, PA.; and their families. Catherine was preceded in death by her loving husband William James Ullman; mother Bertha; father William; brother Bob; sister Bertha and brother-in-law John Nagle and family too numerous to mention. It was with the many blessings of God that helped Cathy along the path of great sufferings, illnesses and health challenges her short 86 year worldly travels. May she put down the heavy burdens of her trials and tribulations and rest in peace. She deserves it. Mom, you led us all to greater things and life experiences. Your conviction of God's teachings allowed your sons, Ronald and David to accept the Lord and minister to others in their church homes. Thank you is not enough. We love you always. Anyone who wishes to honor Mom by sending cards, floral tributes, or remembrances, please send in care of middle son David and his wife Susie Burleson Ullman through Brusie Funeral Home, 626 Broadway, Chico, CA, 95928. Let's grow in love to one another, because we are all worthy. Galatians 6:2 The Living Bible says "Share each other's troubles and problems and so obey our Lord's command." Amen
