Donna Barnard

Graveside services for Donna Jean Barnard will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 24, 2011, at the Paskenta Cemetery in Paskenta, CA. Donna passed away at her home in Red Bluff on February 15, 2011, at the age of 81. Donna was married to John Barnard for 62 years. They raised 7 children together. Donna enjoyed being with family and friends. Her and John played in a local Bunco Squad for many years. She also enjoyed being outside and tending to her flowers, sewing for her family and one of her favorite jobs was when she drove for a courier service. Donna is survived by her husband, John; sons, Tom, Melvin (Cathy), Ben (Brenda), and Jim; daughters, Debbie, and Deanne (Jeff); 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Carol Cody, and brothers, James and Richard Young. She is preceded in death by a son, Gary Schwellenbach-Barnard. She will be greatly missed by all. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Alzheimers Assn. in Chico.
