Douglas Oakley

Douglas Scott Oakley passed away August 22, 2010 at his home in Live Oak with his family by his side. He was born in Winter Park, Florida on May 19, 1969. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Much of his time was spent with his boys on the baseball field. He was so proud of each of his boys. He was always smiling and found the good in everyone and everything. He will be missed by many. He is survived by his wife, Jodi and his sons, Zachary, Jacob, Matthew and Daniel, all of Live Oak; and his mother, Shirley of Chico. He was preceded in death by his father, Steve Oakley and his grandfather, Stanley Sailer. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at Brusie Funeral Home in Chico, CA from 5:00-8:00 p.m. A memorial service is being held at The Church of Glad Tidings in Yuba City on Thursday, August 26, 2010 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to "Jodi Oakley" for the Scott Oakley Memorial Fund or to The Jack and Jill Late Stage Cancer Foundation.
