Etta Mae Parsons

Etta was born July 24, 1925 in Gerber (Las Flores), California to Maggie and Louis Ligon. She passed away on July 19, 2018 in Chico, California at the wonderful age of 92. The family moved to Chico in 1940. Etta married Hugh Parsons in 1945, and worked at Diamond Match as an Accounting Secretary and then Auditor until her retirement. Her passion, other than her family, and her Jonesville cabin, was golf, which she played for over 50 years. She obtained many holes in one, and was an active member as well as secretary for the Bidwell Golf Course. She was preceded in death by her son, Craig; her husband; and two sisters; Luleta Bullard, and Florene Frost. She is survived by two sons; Roy (Valerie), and Richard (Jane): grandchildren; Brian (Kelley) Parsons, Molly (Kyle) Knobbe, Kevin (Angela) Parsons, Michelle and Keith Parsons; and great grandsons Kayden, Colby and Jase Parsons. In lieu of flowers please treat yourself to a round of golf at Bidwell and think of Etta.
