George Adams

George C. Adams. age 96, of Paradise, CA died Tuesday, August 18, 2015. George was born in Fond du Lac, WI and after serving in the US Army during WWII, moved to Westchester CA, where he joined the Los Angeles Police Department. In 1961 he moved to Thousand Oaks, CA and upon retirement from the LAPD, George worked for the City of Thousand Oaks. In 1978 he moved with his wife Marilyn to Magalia, CA and then Paradise, CA. George was a dedicated and loving husband, father, and grandfather, who was always ready with a story or a joke, which made people smile. Surviving is his wife of over 73 years, Marilyn Snyder Adams of Paradise CA, his son Lawson Adams of San Jose, CA, his son Paul Adams of Ridgewood, NJ and his daughters-in-law Lynn Adams of San Jose CA, and Kathleen Eldridge of Ridgewood, NJ. Also surviving are his 5 grandchildren Everett Adams, David Adams, Robert Adams, Ruthanne Adams Martinez, and Katherine Eldridge, his niece Lois Weigelt, and her daughters Susy and Nancy of Fond Du Lac, WI. A private burial was held on Friday, August 21, 2015 at Glen Oaks Memorial Park in Chico, CA and a memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on September 12, 2015 at the Paradise Alliance Church, 6491 Clark Road, Paradise, CA. 95969. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Paradise Alliance Church or the Los Angeles Police Protective League.
