GLORIA DEANE (JESSUP) PURCELL Gloria Deane Purcell passed away peacefully in her sleep at age 82 on October 15, 2014 in Chico, Ca. Gloria leaves behind her husband, Roy Purcell, age 88 of Oroville, Ca., five children, Sam Jessup, Deane'a Jessup, Tim Jessup, Matt Jessup and Mark Jessup and 2 grandchildren; Levi Jessup and Iris Jessup. Gloria Deane Purcell was born in East St. Louis, Illinois on July 13, 1932 to Charles and Gladys Overend. As a young girl, the family moved to Glendale, Ca. Gloria attended school in Glendale where she met her first husband Roger W. Jessup, Jr. Together, they raised five children in the Hidden Hills area of San Fernando Valley, Ca. The five children share memories of growing up, holidays with extended family, camping, traveling, time spent on ranches and their family pets. Many people say, Gloria was a special person, always making people laugh and shared her love and joy with those she knew and loved, including her family, children, animals and special people and children she took care of.
