Gregory [Greg] Vaughn Kopp, 34, passed away unexpectedly on Monday October 21st, 2019 in Chico, CA.

He is preceded in death by his best friend and father, Ronald; and his four legged partner in crime Roolie; aunt, uncle, and grandparents.
From childhood Greg loved playing sports, being taught by older brother Ronnie. He loved spending special time with his mom watching scary movies. From a young age, he learned to love and celebrate every holiday. He enjoyed playing practical jokes on his family, saran wrap on the toilet, exploding cigarettes, and being taught pull my finger from mom.
He was passionate about the outdoors, including hiking, camping, kayaking, and exploring the unknown. Some of his favorite destinations include, Yosemite, Lassen, and Lake Almanor. He was passionate about hiking to beautiful waterfalls, mountain lakes, and Torrey Pines. He enjoyed kayaking in San Diego Mission Bay and various mountain lakes. He enjoyed growing and harvesting his own food for crafting amazing and original recipes. He enjoyed fine wine, champagne, and infusing his own spirits.
One of his many other passions was spending countless hours with his "lady" becoming a part of his San Diego Zoo family. Some of his favorites include: Amur leopards, lions, peacocks, and Andean bears. He loved creating an environment for the local humming birds and ensured they were well fed. He couldn't wait to have a picnic by the mirror pond in Balboa Park.
Greg graduated Cum Laude, with a Bachelors of Science in Accounting from CSU - Chico, He co-founded an accounting firm, where he thrived at every aspect of the business. He continued to feed his thirst for knowledge by reading and researching any topic that caught his interest including history, stargazing, art, and music. He fell in love with art and enjoyed visiting the Getty museum in L.A. and the De Young Museum in San Francisco.
He was a true renaissance man. He had a true passion for life and lived it to the fullest. He was a tender, caring, loving, and compassionate person. He was open to life's challenges, adventures, and experiences. There is nothing he wouldn't try at least once. He will forever be loved and missed.
