Hal's father raised him to be a man of integrity & kindness. He will be remembered by all who knew him as a man of integrity, goodwill, strength of character, and a man of faith in Christ the Lord; the Savior of the world.

Hal had a heart for sharing the Gospel; the good news, that Jesus came to seek and to save that which is lost. That Jesus was not sent to condemn us but to save us. He always hoped to have opportunity to share his personal testimony of when, and how he became a born-again Christian; a child of God; joint errors with Jesus.

He wanted that for others.

Hal's favorite scripture is 2 Peter 1: 1-10

Hal was a faithful husband and devoted family man. His wife Jill, & their blended family of four fantastic kids always, always came first. He would often spend his early morning hours with his great coffee and the word of God. He'd prayed for his family, his friends, and his country. Hal would stay on top of what was happening in America and the world. He was always proud of his voting record. He never missed an election.

Hal had a love for music and an incredible skill in playing the guitar. He would also write music, poems, and lyrics. Hal was a wonderful storyteller and could bring comedy into those stories. (Pat McManus was his favorite author.) He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking and sailing.
