Jerald Earl Metzger

A memorial service will be held for Jerald Earl Metzger, 66 of Paradise, on Friday, February 1, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Bidwell Chapel. Jerry passed away on Thursday, January 17th in Oroville. Jerry was born on April 12, 1952 to Gerald and Sally Metzger. He was raised in Durham and graduated from Durham High School in 1970. In 1993 Jerry married Sandy Blocker at the Lawncrest Chapel in Redding. Jerry worked at Redding Memorial Park for eleven years before returning to Chico where he worked at Glen Oaks Memorial Park and Chico Cemetery for eighteen years. Jerry enjoyed vacationing in Mexico, fishing and watching the Oakland Raiders. He is survived by his wife Sandy Metzger of Paradise; daughter Anna and son in law Patrick Rhea of Salem, OR; four grandchildren, Laural, Preston, Leanne and Kaylee.
