Linda Anne Metzger A celebration of life for Linda Anne Metzger will be held on Monday, July 18, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Bidwell Presbyterian Church in Chico. She passed away very peacefully on Monday, July 11, 2016 surrounded by her family, after a long battle with Alzheimers. She was born on July 16,1949 in Napa, Ca. to Judge William and Vernyce Locarnini. Linda graduated from Chico High in 1967 and later earned her B.A. and Teaching Credential at CSU Chico in 1992. Linda was a teacher for 18 years in the Chico Unified School District. Linda enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. While raising her four children, she was a teacher's aide, parent coordinator, room mom, PTS officer, 4-H leader, campfire girls leader, cheerleading advisor and band booster. She was a strong woman of faith, who loved her weekly bible study group, taught VBS and Sunday School. Linda was a very talented cake decorator, pianist and seamstress. She loved reading and traveling. Linda was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her daughter Jill Lowe {Jay}, son Christopher Henson, and daughter Emily Marquez {Luis}. 5 grandchildren , Brianna, Madison, Heather, Audry, and Diana. She was preceded in death by her daughter Sherry Henson in 1986. Donations in her name may be made to the American Alzheimers Association, or Bidwell Presbyterian Church's Mission/ Education Programs in care of Brusie Funeral home.
