Melvin Scott

Melvin was born in Virginia, Mo on November 8th, 1938 & went to rest on December 5th 2014 at his home in Paradise CA. Preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence, Nadine and sister Melva. Mel worked at PG&E for over 30 years. In 1982 he met and married the love of his life Carol. They began a life of travel throughout the US following his retirement. Mel in the past few years loved to learn using the computer, golf and led many Camping trips with various groups - he loved the camaraderie with fellow campers. Mel is survived by his wife of 30 years Carol, Brother, William, (Sandy), Brother-in-law, Dan Button. Son, Melvin Jr. (Sandy), Daughters; Melanie Gilleland (Roger), Shawna Gersack (Michael) & Laressa Mead (Andrew), two nephews, seven grandchildren & ten great-grandchildren. He loved and was loved dearly by his family. At the request of the family, graveside service is private.
