Michael Burelson
Oct 6, 1943 — Dec 5, 2017
MICHAEL BURELSON Michael George Burelson - passed away Dec 5th, 2017 in Chico, CA, peace-fully with his family by his side and no longer suffering in pain as he had been for many years. Mike was born in Los Angeles, Calif. October 6, 1943 to George and Beverly Burelson, his sister Randy Burelson Green predeceased him in death in 2001. He is survived by his wife, Lauri Burelson, his daughter Dana L. Braidman (husband Craig Braidman, grand-daughter Sophia Gale Braidman & grandson Max Michael Braidman), his son Michael D. Burelson (wife Kimberly Burelson; grandson Levi Alan Burelson), son Brady A. Burelson (wife Natalie Burelson, grand-daughter Serendipity Ann Burelson ; grandson Julius Alan Burelson). Mike had many careers in his 74 years he was a test engineer for the American Gas Associa-tion in Los Angeles, CA. (1963-1968) he then joined the Brea Police Dept. in Brea, CA until his retirement from the police force in 1976. He then moved his family to Northern California/Lake Almanor where he went into business with a partner and built cus-tom homes all around the Lake . Then in 1985 he and his family moved to Chico, CA where he started his own private investigative business until he retired again in 2007. Life was full for Mike as long as he had his family surrounding him; he enjoyed simple things in life, mostly walking in the park, reading a good mystery novel, working with his hands making furniture, watching sports on TV but especially football and his favorite team the "Greenbay Packers", with a nice cold beer. A man of few words, but if you engaged him in a conversation he was quick witted and had a good sense of humor - not always agreeing but was always a good listener. He will be missed by all who loved him - good by Papa until we see you again.
