Michael Micsa

Michael Lee Micsa was born April 21, 1956 in Wichita, Kansas to Christopher and Doris Micsa. He grew up in Sacramento, CA, attending Hiram Johnson High School and working in accounting for the California Indian Manpower Consortium before becoming disabled by a head injury in 1987. He married Julie Hook in 1976 and had one son. In 2006, Michael moved to Butte County to be near his mother. He died unexpectedly on April 21, 2010 at his Chico residence. Michael is preceded in death by his father, Christopher Misca; and ex-wife, Julie. Michael is survived by his son, Jon Christopher Micsa of Mesa, AZ; mother, Doris Micsa of Paradise; sister, Mary Flick of Paradise, and by his sister, Christy Mason and brother, Daniel Micsa of Sacramento. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Brusie Funeral Chapel in Chico. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Jesus Center in Chico.
