Apr 27, 1930 — Jan 27, 2015

MILDRED ALBERT PETERSON LEWIS "POLLY" Our beloved mother, wife and grandmother went to be with the Lord on January 27. She was born on April 27, 1930 in Allisonia, Va. to James and Virginia Crowder. She fell in love with Kelly Albert and married him in 1952. They welcomed their only child, Mike, the following year. The family made their home in Oakland, CA for several years before moving to the Feather River Canyon where they helped to run the Tobin Resort. Sadly, Kelly died young in 1978. Polly then moved to Chico where she met and married Pete Peterson. She gained many new children and grandchildren through his family. Polly endured another heartbreak when Pete passed away in 1992. Later, she married Robert Lewis who was her best friend and companion for 21 years. She liked to say she was married for over 50 years between her three husbands. Polly was fun-loving and social. She was a great cook and loved to laugh. Her love of people was evident as she served as President of the Newcomer's Club and as a member of the Ladies Elks. Family is what Polly lived for. She was generous and kind to everyone. Her son Mike, and grandchildren, Tara Albert Payano and Brian Albert live in Chico. She has 19 great- and grandchildren including the Albert family and the Peterson family. We will all miss her sweet spirit. You could count on Polly to be encouraging and cheerful. We are grateful her illness was short lived, that she was positive to the end and ready to be home with the Lord. Her funeral service will be held at Brusie Funeral Home on Wednesday, Feb. 4 at 1pm. Reception following at Casa De Flores Mobile Home Park.
