Norbert May

Norm May entered into rest on March 10, 2011, at Enloe Hospital, surrounded by the love of his family and close friends. Norm was born to Huguette and Ross Franklin May on Aug. 24, 1955 in Paris, France. Norm married Leslie A. Buttermore in 1992 and had two sons, Justin and Jessee. Norm felt his greatest life accomplishment was his sons, who he cherished more than anything. Norm, the boys and their friends spent treasured time hunting, fishing and camping. As Justin and Jessee got older, Norm could always be seen in the baseball stands cheering for his boys. His life's work revolved around ranching. Norm was well known throughout the Butte and the Glenn County area for his excellent Farrier skills. Norm had such a love for horses and never resisted a chance to go to a rodeo or bull riding event. In 2005, Norm lost the love of his life, his beloved wife, Leslie. Norm is survived by his two sons, Justin and Jessee, as well as many close family and friends. A Celebration of Life is planned for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at the Neighborhood Church of Chico, located at 2801 Notre Dame Blvd. in Chico. In lieu of flowers, a "Memorial Fund" has been set up for his sons in Norm's name at Tri-Counties Bank.
